Meet our team!
Aviva Weiss: CEO
Aviva is the Chief Executive Officer and brilliant mind behind the Kyndred. She is also the CEO and co-founder of Fun and Function. Previously to her companies, Aviva worked at leading institutions including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and St. Christopher’s Hospital. She serves on the advisory board of Salus University’s Occupational Therapy Program, and mentors occupational therapy students and entrepreneurs. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Touro College and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from The Richard Stockton College, graduating summa cum laude from both programs. Aviva thrives on the challenges of running a business, and loves being the mom of eight wonderful children. Her favorite character is Quailenie, as Quailenie’s fabulous turban reminds her of her grandmother.
Haskel Weiss: COO
As Chief Operations Officer of Kyndred, Haskel is a business jack of all trades and then some. He nurtures the overall business strategy, manages technology and workflow operations, and has oversight of financial, import, and legal operations. His background in education and his involvement in real estate (the supervision of acquisitions, financing and management of properties) has given him the focus, acuity, and vision necessary to manage the day-to-day operations. All that experience also helps make him a superbly talented father of eight, too!
Sonja Hayden: CDO
Sonja Hayden is the Chief Design Officer at Kyndred. Sonja has a degree from Drexel University in History, Art and Architectural Design. Sonja utilized her skills in research and design, as well as her background in marketing to influence the direction of the app and the graphics. Sonja worked directly with Aviva to translate ideas into creative direction. In her free time, Sonja enjoys interior design, long walks on beaches, and fluffy dogs. Her favorite character is Robosloth!
Kathy Klein: Occupational Therapist, Head Researcher
Dr. Kathleen Klein is currently the Interim Director of Stockton University’s Center for Learning Design and an Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy. She enjoys exploring how technology makes life better for health and learning. Dr. Klein has a variety of experiences in instructional design, professional development and higher education. Her clinical expertise as an occupational therapist is in providing services to children from birth to 21 in a variety of settings. Dr. Klein was Board Certified in Pediatrics through the American Occupational Therapy Association from 2003-2015.
Angela Song Wang, M.S.Ed in Learning Sciences and Technologies: Education Technology
Angela graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s degree in Learning Sciences and Technologies. She has previous experience as an instructional designer and has formally held positions both in the finance and technology industries. Angela’s passion for educational technologies, combined with her expertise and experiences in product design, business development and learning theories all contributed to developing and perfecting Kyn.
Tamar K: Education Consultant
Tamar Krieger has a background rich in education, including student programming,curriculum design, staff management, marketing, and technology integration. Ms. Krieger earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women, a Certificate Program in Interior Design from New York School of Interior Design, and a Master’s in Secondary School Science Education from the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education. Ms. Krieger has taught and designed curriculum in biology, chemistry, geometry, and architecture & design. In addition, Ms. Krieger expanded her role and has became the Director of Student Activities, designed and managed school’s website, served as Grade Level Coordinator, and most recently was a HS Assistant Principal.
Olivia Davis: Social Media and Public Relations
Olivia manages social media and press relations for Kyndred! She is a recent college graduate from Temple University with a degree in Marketing and Business Administration. She also has a background in early childhood education. Olivia loves bicycling, knitting, and other various old-lady activities. Her favorite Kyn character is Qualinie for their stylish turban and pants!
Adina S: Occupational Therapist
Adina is a pediatric occupational therapist with 20 years of experience working with kids in sensory clinics and in school settings. She loves being able to help kids and their parents find creative ways to integrate sensory experiences into their everyday lives and schedules so kids can function optimally. Her role in Kyn was to tap into her experience as a therapist (and a mom!) to create self-regulatory activities that kids would enjoy. Her favorite character in Kyn is the RoboSloth as she identifies with his need to spread healthy tech habits to kids everywhere, especially the kids in her home!
Danielle Lake: Occupational Therapist
Danielle Lake is an Occupational Therapist who received her Masters Degree from Philadelphia University. She has experience working with individuals in Mental Health and Traumatic Brain Injury, but her real passion has been working with children. For the past 15 years, Danielle has worked in Early Intervention with children ages 0-3, as well as, within the school system with children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Danielle specializes in sensory integration therapy as well as feeding support. She is married with two girls, ages 9 and 7.
Thomas G. Szabo, PhD., BCBA-D: Behavioral Scientist
Tom Szabo, PhD, BCBA-D, is a faculty member in the Hybrid Master’s Degree Program for Professional Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology, an internationally recognized ACT trainer, a practicing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Doctoral Level) and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, where he studied under W. Larry Williams and Steven C. Hayes. Over the last 10 years, Tom has focused his practice on teaching people ways to ignite behavioral flexibility in their personal lives and with others in clinical practice, schools, board rooms, shop floors, and community centers. He is particularly interested in teaching people ways to use the “psyflex model” (aka ACT) to support individuals with high functioning autism and their families. With the Commit & Act Foundation, Tom has trained therapists in Sierra Leone working with individuals who’ve committed acts of gender-based violence and he is currently conducting funded research on ways to reduce intra-familial violence. With his students, Tom investigates behavioral flexibility training and clinical RFT. He has published empirical and conceptual papers, as well as several book chapters.
Joel Yisrael Kleinman, LCSW: Consultant
Joel Yisrael Kleinman is an entrepreneur, author, and psychotherapist with a specialty in parenting. Joel acted as an outside advisor focused on optimizing the app framework to motivate children and parents to act effectively and to increase their emotional health.

Chocolate Bar Studios is a video production and video marketing company based in Philadelphia, PA. Founded in 2010, Chocolate Bar Studios encourages businesses to share their messaging in a creative captivating way. We specialize in creating videos that truly connect businesses of all sizes with their desired audiences. We had the best time producing, shooting, editing and collaborating on the Kyn Kickstarter video.
